Acceptance

By accessing or using Midpoint - Card Centering Tool (the "Service") — including the mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App") and the website at https://www.cardcenteringtool.com (the "Site") — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by I Lov Guitars Inc..

What the Service does — and what it does not

Midpoint - Card Centering Tool analyzes photos of trading cards and returns a measurement of the gap between the card edge and the printed inner frame, along with an estimated centering grade. Estimates use published grading rubrics from PSA, BGS, CGC, and TAG.

The Service is informational only. Our grade estimate is not a grade. PSA, BGS, CGC, TAG, and other grading companies make their own judgments based on their own processes, and they consider many factors beyond centering (corners, edges, surface, print). We make no representation or warranty about how any grading company will rate any card.

Midpoint - Card Centering Tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PSA, Beckett, CGC, TAG, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., The Pokémon Company, or any trading-card manufacturer.

Market values are estimates, not offers. Card prices shown in the Service are aggregated from third-party market data (including eBay sold listings via our data providers) and refresh periodically. They are informational estimates of market activity — not appraisals, not offers to buy or sell, and not financial advice. Actual sale prices vary with condition, timing, and marketplace. Portfolio values, profit/loss figures, and "worth grading" projections are derived from these estimates and carry the same limitations.

eBay Partner Network. Midpoint - Card Centering Tool participates in the eBay Partner Network, an affiliate advertising program. Some links in the Service lead to eBay and include affiliate tracking; we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made after following them, at no additional cost to you. Purchases on eBay are transactions between you and the eBay seller under eBay's terms — we are not a party to them and are not responsible for listings, items, or disputes.

Accounts

• You must be 13 or older to use the Service. By signing in you represent that you meet this age requirement.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Sign in via Google or Apple and keep your credentials private.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the subscription, free-trial, or refund systems, or interfere with other users.

Subscription, payments & refunds

• Access to the Service is sold as a recurring subscription. While your subscription is active, you may run unlimited card-centering analyses (web + mobile) subject to the acceptable use rules below. New accounts receive a small grant of free trial analyses on signup before a subscription is required.
• How you subscribe. In the mobile App, subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases processed by the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) through RevenueCat. On the website, subscriptions are purchased through Stripe. Your purchase is also subject to the applicable store's or processor's terms.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (weekly, semi-annual or annual, whichever you chose) at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or, for mobile purchases, from your Apple ID / Google Play subscriptions page.
• Free trial credits. New accounts receive a small number of trial analyses. Trial credits are limited to one grant per device, are not transferable, not refundable, and have no cash value.
• Legacy credit packs. Users who purchased the old per-mode credit packs (AI or Basic) before this Service switched to a subscription model retain access to whatever balance remained at the time of the switch. Those legacy credits are consumed automatically before the subscription paywall is shown, and remain on the account until used, refunded, or until the account is deleted.
• Midpoint Grade Certificate credits. Certificate credits are one-time (consumable) in-app purchases sold in packs of 1, 3 or 10. One credit is spent each time you issue a certificate for an AI grading result; the credit is refunded automatically only if issuing fails. Credits are not transferable, have no cash value, do not expire, are not refunded when you withdraw (delete) a certificate, and are forfeited if you delete your account. A certificate records the grade Midpoint's AI produced from your photos at issue time together with the measured centering and market values on that day; it is not a professional grade, an appraisal, an authentication, or a guarantee of condition or value, and it must not be presented as one. Certificates have a public verification page reachable by code or QR; you can withdraw a certificate at any time, after which that page shows it as withdrawn.
• Mobile (iOS / Android) refunds are handled entirely by Apple and Google — not by us. We have no ability to grant, deny, or process refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases. To request a refund, contact Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play support directly, subject to their policies. Once Apple or Google has issued a refund the corresponding subscription entitlement is revoked automatically.
• Account deletion ends access. Deleting your account immediately ends any active subscription period (we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time) and forfeits any remaining legacy credit balance. Cancel and use up your subscription period (or contact us first) before deleting.

Sharing data for refund requests

By making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing data about your usage of the Service with Apple and Google as part of resolving refund requests. This may include how you have accessed and used the subscription or any legacy credits, and is shared only as needed to help the store make an informed decision on a refund, in compliance with their policies.

Analytics & session recording

To operate and improve the Service we record how it is used. Our analytics provider, PostHog, collects the pages and screens you open, the controls you tap or click, the paths you take through features, how long steps take, and the errors you encounter — and links that activity to your account once you sign in. We also use it to run A/B tests, so different users may be shown slightly different versions of a screen.

PostHog also produces session replays: a reconstruction of what happened on screen during a visit. In the App this is always on and includes the card images on screen and text you type into the App. On the Site, anything typed into a form field is masked before the replay is sent. By using the Service you agree to this recording. If you would prefer not to be recorded, email [email protected] and we will exclude your account.

This is product research, not advertising: analytics and replay data is never shared with our advertising partners. It is processed in the United States. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is captured on each platform.

Tracking & advertising measurement (iOS / Android)

On iPhone, the first time you open the App, iOS presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt asking whether you allow Midpoint - Card Centering Tool to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. Your choice is honoured immediately:

• If you allow tracking, the App may access your iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and share install and subscription events with our attribution and advertising-measurement partners (AppsFlyer and the Meta SDK) solely to measure marketing campaign performance. It does not affect what features you can use.
• If you decline tracking, we do not access your IDFA, do not build a tracking profile, and continue to provide every feature of the Service in full — including measurement, AI cleanup, bulk uploads, saved cards, and subscription options.

You can revoke or grant tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Midpoint - Card Centering Tool. On Android, the same controls live under Settings → Privacy → Ads; opting out of personalised ads is treated as the equivalent of declining ATT on iOS.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload images that are not photographs of trading cards, or that contain illegal content (CSAM, threats, etc.).
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our detection or grading models.
• Probe, automate against, or stress-test the Service beyond the rate limits we publish or set in code.
• Create multiple accounts to obtain free-trial analyses beyond the one per device, or abuse the refund process.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.

Your content

You keep ownership of the card photos you capture or upload. By providing them you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to process those images solely to operate the Service for you. We do not use your images to train AI models, and we do not share them with third parties beyond the AI model providers used in the analysis pipeline (see our Privacy Policy). You can delete your photos and saved cards at any time in the App.

You represent that you have the right to upload each image and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

Card shop directory & owner portal

The Service includes a directory of trading-card shops, in the App (“Card shops”) and on the Site (/card-shops). Listings are compiled from public sources such as shop websites, publisher store locators and public business directories, and are marked “unverified” until the shop confirms them. We do not guarantee that hours, phone numbers, addresses or stock are current; call ahead.

Claiming a listing. A shop owner or manager may claim a listing. We verify a claim through a contact the shop has already published (an email at the shop's domain or the address on its website), or through a one-time code sent to that contact. We may refuse or reverse a claim at our discretion, and may edit, hide or remove any listing at any time, including at the request of the shop.

Owner portal. Verified owners receive a login for cardshops.cardcenteringtool.com to keep their listing current (hours, contact details, games, description, a storefront photo). You are responsible for keeping your login confidential, for everything submitted through it, and for ensuring the content is accurate, lawful and yours to use. We may display that content in the App and on the Site, and remove content that is misleading, offensive or infringing.

Verified badge. Verified shops may display the “Owner-verified card shop on Midpoint” badge on their own website, linking to their listing, for as long as the listing stays verified. The badge may not be altered or used to imply any endorsement beyond that the listing is maintained by the shop.

Listing, verification and the badge are free. We do not sell placement in the directory, do not pay shops, and do not accept payment from them for ranking.

Intellectual property

The Service — including the App, website, code, designs, brand, training data we generate, and our trained models — is owned by I Lov Guitars Inc. and protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial card collecting. All other rights are reserved.

No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Centering measurements and grade estimates are best-effort approximations derived from a photograph; real-world grading depends on inspection of the physical card and on factors beyond the scope of the Service. Do not use Midpoint - Card Centering Tool's output as a guarantee, warranty, or basis for any purchase, sale, or grading-submission decision. You use the Service at your own risk.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings in the App or website. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the Service becomes commercially unreasonable.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and may also be announced in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
