Midpoint MCP server: trading card prices and grading ROI for ChatGPT, Claude and any AI agent
Ask your assistant what a card is worth and whether it is worth grading, and get a real answer instead of a guess. Midpoint exposes its card price database as Model Context Protocol tools: raw and graded market values for 1.5M+ Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana, sports and entertainment cards, PSA 9 and PSA 10 premiums, fee break-even and expected value, price history, movers and set checklists. Read-only, no account, no API key. The same numbers as our price pages and worth-grading pages, refreshed daily.
Endpoint

What you can ask
Plain questions work. The assistant picks the tool, finds the card, and answers with prices, dates and a link. Some of the things collectors ask every day:
Value a card
“How much is a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan worth raw and in PSA 10?”
Worth grading?
“Is my Umbreon VMAX alt art worth sending to PSA?”
Compare grades
“What does a PSA 9 vs PSA 10 Base Set Charizard sell for?”
Price history
“How has the 1952 Topps Mantle PSA 10 price moved this year?”
What is hot
“Which Pokémon cards jumped the most this month?”
Sell decisions
“Which rising cards actually sell in volume?”
Set checklists
“Most valuable cards in Evolving Skies with prices”
Grading targets
“Best basketball cards to grade for the biggest PSA 10 premium”
What every answer contains
- Raw (ungraded) prices by condition: Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played and Damaged where the market reports them.
- The graded ladder: PSA 10 down through the grades, plus CGC, BGS, SGC and TAG 10s, so you can see which company pays most for the same card.
- Grading economics: PSA 9 and PSA 10 premium over raw, net profit after $25, $50 and $150 fee tiers, expected value at 25, 50 and 75 percent gem rates, the break-even gem rate, and a plain verdict, the same maths as our worth-grading pages.
- Price history: dated market values for the raw series or any PSA grade over 7 to 180 days.
- Market movement: biggest 30-day gainers and drops per game, and liquid movers filtered to cards with real sales volume. See also Trends.
- Sets and checklists: every expansion and priced checklist, sorted by value or card number, with links to our set pages.
- The capture date and a link on every result, so the assistant can cite the card page rather than paraphrase it.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Midpoint MCP server free?
Yes. There is no account, no API key and no charge. Rate limits apply per client.
Which AI assistants can use it?
Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol: ChatGPT (as the Midpoint Card Prices plugin or a Developer Mode connector), Claude on web, desktop and mobile, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and custom agents.
Where do the prices come from?
Market values are built from real sold listings for raw and graded copies and refreshed daily. Every answer states the capture date and links to the card page on cardcenteringtool.com, where the full ladder and price chart live.
Which cards are covered?
Over 1.5 million priced cards: Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Riftbound, Gundam, Dragon Ball, Digimon, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, wrestling, UFC, racing, tennis, golf, boxing, Marvel, Star Wars, Garbage Pail Kids and other entertainment and TCG sets, from 1909 tobacco cards to this month’s releases.
Can it tell me if my card is worth grading?
Yes. The grading_roi tool compares the raw price with PSA 9 and PSA 10 values, shows the net result after economy, standard and express fees, the expected value at 25, 50 and 75 percent gem rates, the break-even gem rate, and which grading company pays most for a 10.
Can it grade my card from a photo?
No. The MCP server is prices and maths only. Centering measurement and the AI grade estimate are in the Midpoint app and the web scanner.
Can it buy, sell or list cards?
No. It is read-only and never transacts.
Does it predict prices?
No. It reports current and historical market values, up to 180 days back, and the biggest 30-day movers.
What is a card id?
The same key as our URLs, for example swsh7-215 for Umbreon VMAX from Evolving Skies or pricecharting-1821843 for the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle. search_cards returns ids; the other tools take one.
Data handling
Requests carry only the tool arguments (card names, ids, filters) and the caller's IP address for rate limiting. See the privacy policy and terms. Questions: contact us.
Prefer plain HTTP? The same data is available as JSON at /api/ai/prices?q=<name> and as markdown at /api/ai/card/<id>; see llms.txt.
