Key takeaways
Most valuable raw listings continue to sit in a few high-priced, long-tail cards. The most valuable raw card is Umbreon from Skyridge (Rare Holo, H30/H32) at $4,999.99, with a PSA 10 price of $63,076.89. Two other raw listings at $4,000.00 are ゼニガメ from ロケット団 (通常, No.007) with a PSA 10 price of $9,476.98, and ゲンガー from 時空の創造 (希少, DPBP#102) with a PSA 10 price of $3,829.67. There are 8,804 cards with both raw and PSA 10 prices and the median PSA 10 price divided by raw price is 11.21, which collectors should factor into decisions about grading. If you hold cards near the lower end of the high-value list, remember a grading fee assumption of $25 can materially affect whether a raw card’s PSA 10 premium justifies the cost; for cards already trading in the thousands of dollars raw, the PSA 10 multiplier shown here is large, but final decisions should be driven by the specific card’s raw price and the expected PSA 10 market value you can realize.
Market overview
The current market snapshot shows active pricing across a wide range of Pokémon cards: 30,582 cards have market prices listed across 449 sets, and the total raw, ungraded market value of those cards stands at $1,137,148. Median card price sits at $4.28, underscoring that most individual listings remain in the low-single-digit dollar range even while higher-value items exist. There are 3,572 cards priced at $100 or more and 63 cards priced at $1,000 or more; those higher tiers represent a small portion of the total priced universe but account for a large share of headline value. Graded material is substantial as well: 14,317 cards have PSA 10 population entries alongside raw listings. For collectors who track liquidity and depth, note that the top-100 value basket holds a total raw value of $104,268, which is a concentrated pool compared with the $1,137,148 total raw market figure. That concentration is central to how index moves can differ from broad market breadth metrics over short windows.
The breadth measures over short windows show a market where many individual cards are steady even as meaningful numbers move in both directions. The pool used for mover calculations includes 2,185 cards that meet the mover rules. Over the last 7 days, 450 cards were up while 336 were down and 1,085 were flat; the median 7-day change across movers is 0.0%. Looking at the 30-day window, 890 cards were up, 461 were down and 495 were flat, with a median 30-day change of 0.2%. Those figures indicate more upward movers than downward movers over 30 days in absolute counts, and a small positive median change across that period. For collectors tracking momentum, the 7-day and 30-day median percentage figures—0.0% and 0.2% respectively—show near-neutral median movement, while the raw counts of up versus down cards reveal modestly greater breadth of appreciation over 30 days than over 7 days.
The top-100 value index tells a slightly different story than breadth. The value-weighted top-100 index rose 0.3% over 7 days and 1.1% over 30 days, with the basket size being 100 cards in both windows and the basket total raw value at $104,268. That means the most valuable 100 raw cards tracked here moved modestly higher over both short windows, and they rose a bit more over 30 days than over 7 days. Comparing that to the mover breadth counts—where 890 cards were up over 30 days versus 461 down—the top end’s positive movement is consistent with broader upward breadth in the 30-day window, but the magnitude of index change is more muted than the counts might suggest because the index is value-weighted and dominated by the highest-priced cards. In plain terms: the top end is higher by 1.1% over 30 days, while a larger number of individual listings also show gains, yet the index’s modest percentage reflects concentration among the very highest-value pieces.
Breaking performance down by price tier highlights where movement is concentrated. The largest tier by count is Under $1 with 10,410 priced cards and a median 30-day change of 0.0%. The $1–$5 tier has 5,533 priced cards and a median 30-day change of 0.0%, and the $5–$20 tier contains 4,536 priced cards with a median 30-day change of 0.0%. The $20–$100 tier, the only mid-level group with a positive median move, has 6,531 priced cards and a median 30-day change of 0.8%. Above that, $100–$1,000 contains 3,509 priced cards with a median 30-day change of 0.0%, and the $1,000+ tier has 63 priced cards with a median 30-day change of 0.0%. Those tier-level medians show that the middle tier between $20 and $100 experienced the clearest upward median movement over 30 days, while the largest count tiers below $20 and the high-dollar tiers were flat at the median level over the same period.
For collectors deciding whether to buy, sell or grade, these figures can help set expectations without implying causes. If you hold cards in the $20–$100 tier, you are sitting in the segment that registered a positive median 30-day change of 0.8%, while the broader universe has a median 30-day change of 0.2% across movers and a median card price of $4.28. If you are focused on the highest-value cards, the top-100 basket rose 1.1% over 30 days and 0.3% over 7 days, and the basket’s total raw value is $104,268; those moves are modest and value-weighted. For grading considerations, remember the assumed grading fee is $25 when weighing whether a raw card’s current market price justifies submitting to PSA or another service, and note there are 14,317 items already recorded as PSA 10 in the market. In short: breadth measures show more individual cards up than down over 30 days, the top-100 index is modestly higher as well, and only the $20–$100 tier shows a clear positive median move among the price bands provided.

Biggest movers this week
This week’s mover list shows 450 cards up over 7 days and 336 cards down, with a median 7-day change of 0% and the top-100 value index up 0.3% over 7 days. Collectors watching the largest winners should note the biggest single-week percentage move among tracked gainers: Machamp LV.X (98/100) from Stormfront, a Rare Holo LV.X, is up 82.3% to a raw price of $145.85. That stands apart from the rest of the list by scale of change. After Machamp LV.X, the next largest increases are concentrated in familiar toy-era and mid-2000s products: Raikou ex (92/95) from Team Magma vs Team Aqua is up 46.7% at $293.32, and Gengar LV.X (97/99) from Arceus is up 46.4% at $628.50. Lugia-EX (134/135) from Plasma Storm is a high-dollar gainer as well, up 29.4% to $938.50. If you hold any of these, be mindful that single-week moves can reverse, especially for cards that trade infrequently.

30-day movers
What this means for collectors, sellers and graders: if you hold gainers such as Haunter (Legend Maker 35/92) at $280.00 up 133.8%, Deoxys δ (POP Series 4 2/17) at $350.00 up 114.7%, or Dark Espeon (Neo Destiny 4/105) at $649.99 up 52.9%, you are looking at cards that moved well above the $5 inclusion threshold and met the three price-point rule. For sellers, realized gains should be balanced against grading costs using the $25 grading fee assumption: for example, smaller-dollar gainers like Gallade E4 (Rising Rivals 20/111) at $25.00 up 133.2% may not justify grading if the $25 fee approaches expected net proceeds, while higher-dollar gainers are more likely to clear grading costs. For buyers, the decliners list contains items that now trade at lower absolute prices—Blastoise (Expedition Base Set 4/165) at $94.22 down 76.5% and Charizard (Power Keepers 6/108) at $120.00 down 60.0%—so purchase decisions should weigh whether the drop reflects transient interest shifts or more persistent repricing; remember that 890 cards gained while 461 declined and the median move was 0.2%, so many cards remained stable even as prominent outliers moved sharply. The top-100 value index rose 1.1% over 30 days, indicating the highest-value corner of the market moved modestly upward even as individual notable names swung widely.

The most valuable cards
Collectors looking at the top raw Pokémon cards should note that classic late-1990s and early-2000s printings remain heavily represented among the highest raw-dollar values. Skyridge appears multiple times: Umbreon (H30/H32) sits at $4,999.99 raw with a PSA 10 price of $63,076.89; Celebi (145/144) is $3,999.99 raw with a PSA 10 price of $29,061.39; and Charizard (146/144) is $1,500 raw with a PSA 10 price of $130,266.20. Neo Destiny is present through Shining Charizard (107/105) at $3,998.99 raw and PSA 10 price $24,285.41. Unseen Forces shows up with Lugia ex (105/115) at $2,500 raw and a PSA 10 price of $110,817.23, and Raikou ☆ (114/115) at $1,600 raw with a PSA 10 price of $21,392.14. Aquapolis’ Lugia (149/147) is listed at $1,400 raw with a PSA 10 price of $114,371.41, and Power Keepers’ Flareon ☆ (100/108) is $2,000 raw with PSA 10 price $53,143.32. Those set names and numbers read like a collection focus on late-1990s-era holos and secret rares, with multiple Rare Secret and Rare Holo Star examples in the top ranks.
Beyond the late-1990s era, more modern high-value raw cards appear but with generally lower raw-dollar peaks. Team Up provides two Rare Ultra entries: Latias & Latios-GX (170/181) at $3,913.85 raw and PSA 10 price $15,084.35, and Gengar & Mimikyu-GX (165/181) at $2,063.55 raw with PSA 10 price $7,988.14. Evolving Skies’ Umbreon VMAX (215/203) is $2,283.90 raw and PSA 10 price $3,901.50. The promotional and crossover pieces also show up: the Poké Card Creator Pack Mudkip (4) is $1,710 raw with a PSA 10 price of $25,100, XY Promos’ ポンチョを着たピカチュウ (230/XY-P) is $3,700 raw with PSA 10 price $15,947.05, and Best of Game’s Rocket's Mewtwo (8) is $2,400 raw with a PSA 10 price of $35,339.86. These entries demonstrate that promo and modern GX/VMAX product can sit alongside classic-era secret rares in the top-raw list, although the raw-dollar peaks for those modern and promo cards are generally below the very highest vintage Secret Rare and Holo Star examples.
When focusing on short-term movement, only cards with a provided change percent should be treated as movers under the report’s mover rules; changes above 300% were excluded prior to this list. Among those with a reported 30-day movement, Latias & Latios-GX moved up 2.1% and is listed at $3,913.85 raw (PSA 10 $15,084.35). Umbreon VMAX moved up 2.1% to $2,283.90 raw (PSA 10 $3,901.50). Gengar & Mimikyu-GX is a stronger mover, up 16.9% to $2,063.55 raw (PSA 10 $7,988.14). Promotional and older promo material show sizable moves: Lucky Stadium (Wizards Black Star Promos 41) is up 32.4% at $1,700 raw with PSA 10 price $6,993.77, and Regirock ☆ (Legend Maker 91/92) is up 32.0% at $1,450.99 raw with PSA 10 price $24,491.82. These percentages are the explicit 30-day figures reported; every collector should treat single-month jumps like these as discrete observations rather than long-term trends, and note that movers in this list are those priced at $5 or more with at least three price points and without extreme percentage outliers.
For collectors deciding whether to sell, buy or grade, the gap between raw price and PSA 10 price is a recurring theme across eras in this top tier. Examples span extremes: Charizard (Skyridge 146/144) shows a raw price of $1,500 versus a PSA 10 of $130,266.20, while Umbreon (Skyridge H30/H32) shows $4,999.99 raw and $63,076.89 PSA 10. Lugia ex (Unseen Forces 105/115) is $2,500 raw and $110,817.23 PSA 10, and Shining Charizard (Neo Destiny 107/105) is $3,998.99 raw with PSA 10 $24,285.41. For more recent entries, Latias & Latios-GX and Umbreon VMAX show smaller PSA 10 differentials, with PSA 10 prices of $15,084.35 and $3,901.50 respectively. Using the provided grading fee assumption of $25 should be part of any grading consideration; collectors chasing PSA 10 examples can compare the PSA 10 price lines above to the raw price they hold and weigh whether the potential uplift aligns with their risk tolerance given grading fees and the card’s current raw market price. If you hold any of these specific cards, note the exact set and collector number before you list or submit: those details—Skyridge H30/H32 Umbreon, Skyridge 145/144 Celebi, Neo Destiny 107/105 Shining Charizard, Unseen Forces 105/115 Lugia ex, and the others cited—are the precise variants commanding these prices and movements.

Most traded cards
Collectors looking at what moves most often should start with the cards that have the largest number of completed sales. Mega Charizard X ex #125 from Pokemon Phantasmal Flames tops the list with sales volume of 3863 and an ungraded near-mint market value of $729.49, with a recent 30-day change of down 0.2%. Mega Gengar ex #56 from Pokemon Phantasmal Flames records 3003 sales and a raw price of $3.38, showing that high turnover can occur at both ends of the price spectrum. Eevee Ex #174 from Pokemon Promo has 1994 sales and a raw price of $19.85, down 8.7% over 30 days. Mega Venusaur Ex #177 from Pokemon Mega Evolution follows with 1958 sales and a raw price of $124.63, down 10.5% over 30 days. M Rayquaza EX #76 from Pokemon Celebrations posts 1873 sales at $39.58. These volumes demonstrate where collectors and sellers find consistent trade activity week to week.
High sales volumes continue through the list: Scizor ex #108 from Pokemon 30th Celebration has 1756 sales and a raw price of $14.44; Kingdra Ex #131 from Pokemon Promo shows 1628 sales at $85.00; Mew ex #232 from Pokemon Paldean Fates posts 1571 sales and a raw price of $904.97, up 3.7% over 30 days. Latias ex #239 from Pokemon Surging Sparks has 1375 sales at $175.00. M Charizard EX #101 from Pokemon Evolutions records 1369 sales and a raw price of $98.25. Pikachu ex #234 from Pokemon Japanese Mega Dream ex shows 1337 sales and a raw price of $191.25, with a 30-day change of 0.0%. These are the cards that most often produce multiple price points you can reference when deciding to buy or sell.
When you compare the highest-volume names against lower-volume listings, the practical impact is clear for grading and pricing decisions. Zekrom ex #172 from Pokemon Black Bolt posts 1214 sales at $595.18 and Zekrom ex #166 from the same set has 1074 sales at $252.44; both provide many trade observations. By contrast, items with far fewer sales would give fewer price points to reference. With a grading fee assumption of $25, collectors should weigh whether a card’s raw market value and sales volume support the time and cost of grading; for low-price, high-volume examples such as Mega Gengar ex #56 at $3.38, the fee assumption suggests grading is unlikely to be economical for most sellers. Cards with strong volume and higher raw prices, like Mega Charizard X ex #125 at $729.49 or Mew ex #232 at $904.97, will produce more graded submissions and more observed sale results, which in turn generate clearer market signals.
Liquid cards give a more reliable read of the market than thinly traded ones for two operational reasons apparent in these figures. First, a high number of sales creates many independent price points to compare: Mega Charizard X ex #125 (3863 sales), Mega Gengar ex #56 (3003 sales) and Eevee Ex #174 (1994 sales) each provide a sequence of trades that smooths out single-sale volatility. Second, when a card trades hundreds or thousands of times, short-term 30-day percentage moves—such as Mew ex #232 up 3.7%, Mega Charizard X ex #125 down 0.2%, Eevee Ex #174 down 8.7% and Mega Venusaur Ex #177 down 10.5%—are based on many listings and sales instead of one or two outliers. If you hold cards with the highest volumes shown here, you can rely on more comparable sale prices to time a sale or to decide whether to submit to grading. Collectors chasing market clarity should prioritize liquidity as indicated by sales volume and treat thinly traded cards as less definitive signals when assessing current market value.

Set-by-set breakdown
This set-by-set breakdown ranks and compares the sets in this report by total raw value, median card price and median 30-day change, calling out each set’s top card so collectors can see where value concentrates. At the top by total raw value is Skyridge (2003) with total raw value $27,012 and a top raw price of $4,999.99 for Umbreon; Skyridge’s median card price is $38.83 and its median 30-day change is 0. Legendary Collection (2002) sits second by total raw value at $19,366, led by Dark Blastoise with a top raw price of $975 and a median card price of $126.67 with median 30-day change 0. Third by total raw value is XY Promos (2013) with $16,116 total raw and a $3,700 top card price for ポンチョを着たピカチュウ; its median card price is $20 and median 30-day change 0. These three leaders by total raw value illustrate different value profiles: Skyridge concentrates a very high single-card raw price alongside a modest median, Legendary Collection shows a much higher median card price, and XY Promos shows a high top-card price with a low median. Collectors holding any of these top cards — Umbreon, Dark Blastoise or ポンチョを着たピカチュウ — are sitting on the single-card values that drive each set’s raw total.
The next tier of sets by total raw value includes Aquapolis (2003) at $14,928 led by Lugia with a $1,400 top raw price and median card price $32.73; Unseen Forces (2005) at $14,100 led by Lugia ex with a $2,500 top raw and median card price $38.99; Neo Destiny (2002) at $13,330 led by Shining Charizard with a $3,998.99 top raw price, a median card price of $13.50 and a median 30-day change up 4.2%. Delta Species (2005) sits at $11,823 total raw with Kyogre ☆ at $2,100.98 top raw and median card price $37.35 with median 30-day change up 0.9%. Team Rocket Returns (2004) has total raw value $11,754 and top raw Torchic ☆ at $1,200; its median card price is $60 and its median 30-day change is up 0.7%. These sets show substantial total raw values driven by multi-hundred or multi-thousand-dollar highlights while medians vary widely — from Neo Destiny’s $13.50 median to Team Rocket Returns’ $60 median — so collectors should note whether their interest is in high-end singles or broader median-level demand.
When we rank by median card price rather than total raw value, several smaller or more concentrated Japanese-era sets rise to the top. 拡張シート2 (1998) posts a median card price of $400 with total raw value $8,400 and a top raw price $2,500 for カブト. ロケット団 (1997) shows a median card price of $300 with total raw value $11,000 and a top raw price $4,000 for ゼニガメ. 時空の創造 (2006) posts a median of $200 with total raw value $10,600 and a top raw price $4,000 for ゲンガー. Sword & Shield Promos (2019) lists a median card price of $150 with total raw value $9,700 and top raw price $300 for ヨクバリスV. Scarlet & Violet Promos (2022) has a median card price $100 and top raw price $250 for ワザマシン エヴォリューション with total raw $10,157. These medians show that a set’s average card can be worth substantially more in some smaller or region-specific sets even when total raw value is lower than the market-leading sets.
Looking at recent momentum via median 30-day change, the clear strengthening sets are Team Up (2019) with median 30-day change up 7.5% and a top raw price $3,913.85 for Latias & Latios-GX; Neo Destiny (2002) with median 30-day change up 4.2% and its $3,998.99 Shining Charizard top raw; Call of Legends (2011) with median 30-day change up 5.7% and top raw Rayquaza at $1,013.27; XY Black Star Promos (2013) with median 30-day change up 3.9% and a top raw price $507.78 for Pikachu-EX; and SM Black Star Promos (2017) up 1.6% with top raw price $489.99 for Champions Festival. Additional sets showing modest positive median moves include Delta Species (up 0.9%), Team Rocket Returns (up 0.7%), Holon Phantoms (up 0.6%), and Deoxys (up 0.7%). These positive changes identify which sets are strengthening over a 30-day window; Team Up’s up 7.5% is the largest single median move in the period.
Evolving Skies (2021) shows the most notable softening among sets with a median 30-day change: its median is down 1.9% with a top raw price $2,283.90 for Umbreon VMAX and total raw value $8,257. No other set in this list posts a negative median 30-day change. Many sets register median 30-day change equal to 0, including Skyridge, Legendary Collection, XY Promos, Aquapolis, Unseen Forces, Expedition Base Set, FireRed & LeafGreen, Deoxys, Emerald and others. When a set’s median 30-day change is 0 it indicates stable medians over the recent window; collectors tracking short-term momentum will want to weigh the up-movers such as Team Up and Neo Destiny against the steady or softening sets such as Evolving Skies.
What separates the leaders in total raw value from the sets with higher medians or stronger short-term moves is a mix of concentration in a high-priced marquee card, breadth of priced cards and median level. Skyridge leads total raw value largely because Umbreon has a top raw price of $4,999.99 within a set that lists 156 priced cards and a median card price of $38.83. Legendary Collection’s $126.67 median suggests broader per-card value across 94 priced cards even though its top raw price is $975. Neo Destiny shows a different profile: a very high top raw price for Shining Charizard at $3,998.99 but a relatively low median card price of $13.50 across 113 priced cards; Neo Destiny’s median 30-day change up 4.2% suggests renewed short-term interest concentrated perhaps unevenly across a few movers rather than across the whole set. Team Up stands out for having the largest median 30-day change (up 7.5%) but a low median card price $0.50 across 197 priced cards; this is a case where short-term momentum appears strongest at the very low-median end of the market rather than in high median value.
For sellers deciding whether to list items now, these numbers point to practical considerations. If you hold marquee singles named here — Umbreon from Skyridge ($4,999.99 top raw), Shining Charizard from Neo Destiny ($3,998.99 top raw), or Umbreon VMAX from Evolving Skies ($2,283.90 top raw) — those cards alone account for a large portion of their set totals, and your listing strategy should reflect that single-card influence. If you hold higher-median sets such as 拡張シート2 (median $400), ロケット団 (median $300) or 時空の創造 (median $200), those medians indicate a broader per-card price base that could support multiple listings at significant price points. For sets with short-term positive medians — Team Up up 7.5%, Call of Legends up 5.7%, Neo Destiny up 4.2% — sellers of lower-priced cards in those sets may see quicker turnover or slightly improved median prices, whereas sets with median 30-day change 0 suggest steady conditions.
For collectors thinking about grading, use the median and top raw prices alongside the grading_fee_assumption of $25 to weigh whether grading could add value. For example, a raw card with a market value substantially above $25 such as Gengar ex from FireRed & LeafGreen with top raw $1,399.99, Shining Charizard at $3,998.99, or Umbreon at $4,999.99 may justify grading costs for certain grade outcomes; conversely, median-level cards in sets with low medians such as Team Up (median $0.50) or SM Black Star Promos (median $10.05) are less likely to clear grading costs unless the card is a marquee or high-grade candidate. The sets with higher medians — 拡張シート2 median $400, ロケット団 median $300, 時空の創造 median $200 — present more straightforward grading economics on average because the median value itself is already well above a $25 fee, but always consider the specific card’s top raw price and market interest before submitting.
Bottom line for buyers, sellers and graders: pick the metric that matches your goals. If you target where absolute dollar concentration exists, Skyridge ($27,012) and Legendary Collection ($19,366) are the leaders because of very high single-card values and, in Legendary Collection’s case, a high median ($126.67). If you prefer per-card quality across a set, smaller Japanese-era and promo sets such as 拡張シート2 (median $400), ロケット団 (median $300) and 時空の創造 (median $200) show the highest medians. If you chase momentum, Team Up (median 30-day change up 7.5%), Call of Legends (up 5.7%) and Neo Destiny (up 4.2%) are the sets with the clearest 30-day strength, while Evolving Skies (down 1.9%) is the only set here with a negative median 30-day move. Use these specific set-level figures and the named top cards when deciding whether to list, buy or submit for grading.

Rarity and language breakdown
For language breakdown, English (EN) has 21,066 priced cards with a median card price of $1.76 and a total raw value of $515,909. Japanese (JA) has 9,516 priced cards with a median card price of $50 and a total raw value of $621,240. That contrast places many more English‑market listings at lower median price points and a lower aggregate raw value compared with the Japanese listings, which are fewer in number but present a much higher median card price and a higher aggregate raw value. If you hold high‑median Japanese cards or top raw cards named above (for example ゼニガメ at $4,000, ラッキー at $5,000, Umbreon at $4,999.99 or ポンチョを着たピカチュウ at $3,700), those pieces sit inside the language pool showing higher median prices and greater total raw dollars; English holdings are heavier in count but centered around lower medians and a lower total raw value. Collectors deciding whether to sell or grade should consider these raw price distributions together with the listed median 30‑day changes by rarity; grading fee assumptions such as $25 per submission are a known cost to compare against current raw market values and recent 30‑day movement before deciding to submit for grading.

Graded cards and grading ROI
Across the universe of cards that have both raw and PSA 10 market prices, PSA 10s command a clear and sizable premium: the median PSA 10 price divided by raw price is 11.21. Say you hold a near-mint ungraded copy of a card; for the median title, a PSA 10 is 11.21 times the raw price. For collectors deciding whether to submit to PSA, remember that this multiplier represents the middle of 8,804 cards with both raw and PSA 10 prices — it summarizes a broad cross-section of the market rather than any single card’s outcome. Also bear in mind the explicit grading fee assumption used here is $25, and that every example in the upside analysis that follows assumes the card actually receives a 10 grade.
How much of a PSA 10’s value is retained in lower grades is important for grading ROI decisions. The median PSA 9 price as a share of the PSA 10 price is 0.25, or 25.0%: the typical PSA 9 holds one quarter of the PSA 10’s market value. If you’re weighing the chance of earning a 9 instead of a 10, use that 25.0% figure as a rough reference for the relative price step between those two top PSA tiers. Alternative third-party grading houses show different relationships to PSA 10: the median CGC 10 price as a share of PSA 10 is 0.31 (31.0%), while the median BGS 10 price as a share of PSA 10 is 1.3 (130.0%). That means a median BGS 10 sits above the PSA 10 level by that share, whereas a CGC 10 sits below on median terms.
Collectors chasing the highest PSA 10 premiums will find a small group of cards where the leap from raw to PSA 10 is extraordinary. The top premiums list includes multiple cards with roughly 60-times PSA 10-to-raw ratios. Legendary Collection Doduo (71/110) moves from a raw price of $102.05 to a PSA 10 price of $6,118.96 — a PSA 10 price divided by raw price of 60. Base Set 2 Pidgeotto (28/130) shows a raw price of $5.11 and a PSA 10 price of $306.40, also a 60 multiple. Rising Rivals Fan Rotom (RT1) goes from $37.94 raw to $2,275 PSA 10, again a 60 multiple. These extreme premiums continue into Generations Flareon-EX (RC28/RC32) with raw $197.25 and PSA 10 $11,808.11 (59.9), Neo Genesis Electabuzz (33/111) with raw $5.68 and PSA 10 $339.46 (59.8), Team Up Tyranitar (85/181) with raw $5.10 and PSA 10 $305.09 (59.8), Power Keepers Swablu (66/108) with raw $17.92 and PSA 10 $1,069.22 (59.7), Dragons Exalted Gyarados (24/124) with raw $25.03 and PSA 10 $1,493.50 (59.7), Legend Maker Machoke (39/92) with raw $33.54 and PSA 10 $1,999.99 (59.6), Gym Heroes Sabrina's Slowbro (60/132) with raw $17.55 and PSA 10 $1,046.53 (59.6), Wizards Black Star Promos Dark Persian (17) with raw $125.94 and PSA 10 $7,499.99 (59.6), and XY Black Star Promos Xerneas-EX (XY149) with raw $16.13 and PSA 10 $958.10 (59.4). If you hold any of these, the market’s willingness to pay up for a PSA 10 is very large — but remember that achieving a 10 is the precondition for realizing this spread.
Beyond raw-to-PSA 10 premiums, another practical way to think about grading is the straightforward, transaction-focused upside after paying the grading fee. Using a $25 grading-fee assumption and comparing PSA 10 price minus raw price minus grading fee yields concrete upside values for specific cards. Examples with the largest nominal upside under that calculation include Unseen Forces Lugia ex (105/115): raw $2,500, PSA 10 $110,817.23, and PSA 10 price minus raw price minus grading fee of $108,292.23. Skyridge Umbreon (H30/H32) has raw $4,999.99, PSA 10 $63,076.89, and upside $58,051.90. Power Keepers Flareon ☆ (100/108) shows raw $2,000, PSA 10 $53,143.32, and upside $51,118.32. These entries illustrate how grading can translate into very large dollar gains when the PSA 10 market sits far above the raw market and the card actually grades a 10.
Other high-upside grading candidates include Emerald Milotic ex (96/106): raw $799.99, PSA 10 $43,489.08, and upside $42,664.09. Team Rocket Returns Torchic ☆ (108/109) lists a raw $1,200 with a PSA 10 price of $35,941.91 and an upside of $34,716.91. Deoxys Rayquaza ex (102/107) shows raw $999, PSA 10 $35,000, and upside $33,976. Classic Base Charizard (4/102) at raw $944.53 has PSA 10 $34,863.06 and upside $33,893.53. Best of Game Rocket's Mewtwo (8) with raw $2,400 and PSA 10 $35,339.86 produces upside $32,914.86. Dragon Charizard (100/97) with raw $739.97 and PSA 10 $32,335.86 yields $31,570.89, while Legendary Collection Dark Blastoise (4/110) with raw $975 and PSA 10 $32,232.86 yields $31,232.86. Phantom Forces Gengar-EX (114/119) has raw $765.03, PSA 10 $31,888.03, and upside $31,098. Finally, Neo Destiny Dark Espeon (4/105) at raw $649.99 and PSA 10 $31,581.88 shows upside $30,906.89. For sellers considering grading to maximize proceeds, these upside figures are explicit dollar differences that rest on the single, crucial assumption that the card actually grades a 10.
Not all valuable cards justify grading under the same calculation. There are notable examples where PSA 10 market prices sit below raw prices once you subtract a $25 grading fee. The list of cards where PSA 10 price minus raw price minus grading fee is negative (or zero) includes several Japanese and special-set items. For example, 拡張シート1 ラッキー (No.113) has raw $5,000 and PSA 10 $4,617.44, producing PSA 10 price minus raw price minus grading fee of -$407.56. 時空の創造 ゲンガー (DPBP#102) is raw $4,000, PSA 10 $3,829.67, and net -$195.33. ソウルシルバーコレクション カモネギ (055/070) has raw $4,000, PSA 10 $3,650, and net -$375. ポケモンカード★VS Karen's Technical Machine 01 (125/141) shows raw $3,000, PSA 10 $2,195.32, and net -$829.68. ロケット団 コダック (No.054) has raw $2,000, PSA 10 $499.87, net -$1,525.13. PCG Promos レジスチル (100/PCG-P) has raw $1,500, PSA 10 $1,449.99, net -$75.01. 砂漠のきせき ソーナンス (027/053) is raw $1,000 and PSA 10 $1,025, resulting in PSA 10 price minus raw price minus grading fee of $0. Finally, フェアリーライズ Sigilyph-GX (58) has raw $1,000 and PSA 10 $705, net -$320. These examples show that for a number of cards — often from specialized Japanese printings or promotional sets — the market price for a PSA 10 does not clear the combined cost of the raw value plus a $25 fee.
If you hold any of the cards listed in the 'not worth grading' section, the arithmetic is blunt and actionable: submitting with the aim of reaching a PSA 10 would not, on median market prices, pay off once the $25 grading fee is accounted for, because the PSA 10 price is below or only equal to the raw price plus fee. Conversely, the 'worth grading' list contains cards where the PSA 10 market is far above the raw price even after subtracting the $25 fee, so those are cases where the dollar upside is very large — again, conditional on actually achieving a 10. For collectors deciding between sending multiple cards or saving service levels for the most promising candidates, these explicit upside and shortfall figures are practical decision inputs rather than guarantees.
Two closing practical points for buyers, sellers and graders: first, the median relationships across thousands of cards provide a useful baseline but do not override card-specific realities — the examples above show very different outcomes across sets, languages and promo types. Second, every upside calculation in this section assumes the card actually grades a 10; if a submission returns a lower grade (for which median price shares are different), the realized return can be materially lower. If you hold any of the high-premium cards, prioritize condition reviews and consider submitting only items with strong visual chances of a 10; if you hold cards from the 'not worth grading' group, factor these market relationships into whether to market raw copies or pursue alternative strategies that do not rely on a PSA 10 outcome.

New releases
What this means for buying, selling or grading: if you own high-end pieces such as ヒガナの信頼 from ストームエメラルダ or グラジオの決戦 from アビスアイ, their top raw prices ($7,000 and $1,400 respectively) are the primary anchors for those sets’ reported totals. For cards with PSA 10 comparables—Mega Darkrai ex from Pitch Black ($2,014.77 PSA 10) and Mega Greninja ex from Chaos Rising ($801.03 PSA 10)—buyers and sellers can reference a graded benchmark, but remember the set-level median moves (down 21.2% and down 22.5%) when timing listings. If you are considering grading, use the grading fee assumption of $25 per submission to compare against raw price and PSA 10 price; for example, a raw top price of $147.25 for Mega Darkrai ex versus $2,014.77 for a PSA 10 provides a concrete spread to weigh against grading cost, while recognizing that early market volatility may move those figures. Collectors chasing early opportunities should expect rapid repricing—both upward and downward—until the market settles, and sellers may want to watch the individual set medians and top-card anchors before committing inventory to grade or listing at firm prices.

Sealed product
Collectors and sellers watching sealed Japanese era material should be focused on the Booster Box [Base Set] from Pokemon Japanese Expansion Pack, which sits at $118,340. That single sealed box is markedly above the next tier of sealed product values: Booster Box from Pokemon Skyridge at $60,249.13, and Special Box [Poncho Magikarp & Gyarados] from Pokemon Japanese Promo at $12,500. These three are clear outliers by raw price and represent different segments of the sealed market—early-era booster boxes and special promotional boxes—so if you hold any of them you are sitting on the most valuable sealed items in this report. Moving down the price ladder, there are several boxed releases and collector-focused tins that trade in the low four-figure to three-figure range: Booster Bundle Display Box from Pokemon Ascended Heroes at $1,408.07; Charizard EX: Red And Blue Collection from Pokemon Generations at $1,332.62; and Palkia LV. X Tin from Pokemon Diamond & Pearl at $1,094.99. These mid-range sealed products often appeal to buyers looking for sealed collectibles that still trade above typical commons but well below the rare vintage boxes, so pricing and timing of sales can be important if liquidity is a concern.
If you are deciding whether to list or hold, consider how much premium you might capture for sealed versus opening and grading. The nominal grading fee assumption is $25; use that cost when estimating net proceeds relative to selling raw or as-is sealed. For the very top items such as Booster Box [Base Set] at $118,340 and Booster Box from Pokemon Skyridge at $60,249.13, listing as sealed at premium pricing makes sense for collectors who value unopened provenance; these items are far above middling sealed releases like Charizard GX Hidden Fates Tin at $152.13, Charizard Ex Super Premium Collection Box at $126, and Mini Tin: Tinkatink at $53. For sellers of the mid-tier sealed products—Charizard EX: Red And Blue Collection [Jumbo] at $354.75, Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set EX at $370.09, Jolteon VMAX Premium Collection Box at $324.72, and Eevee Evolutions Premium Collection Box at $285.20—consider whether the additional $25 grading fee or professional authentication will materially change buyer interest versus the current sealed listing price. For items already in the low hundreds, grading or breaking may not recover the fixed cost of grading unless the buyer pool specifically values graded presentation.
Buyers should be deliberate about condition expectations and rarity tiers. The sealed market here ranges from highest-value historic booster boxes to modern promotional tins and display boxes, so bidding strategies and buy prices should reflect that spread: the two top boxes are orders of magnitude more expensive than most sealed items listed. If you hold any of the high-ticket boxes, be prepared for different buyer behavior and potentially longer sale timelines compared with the lower-priced sealed product tiers; the Special Box [Poncho Magikarp & Gyarados] at $12,500 occupies a middle ground where demand may be more active than for single high-end vintage boxes but less so than for mass-market premiums. For sellers of low-price sealed stock—Mega Battle Deck: Mega Diancie Ex at $21.38 is at the bottom of this list—decide whether to pursue a quick sale at close to listed raw price or to aggregate multiple similar items for a single lot. Collectors chasing specific sets such as Pokemon Generations or Pokemon Hidden Fates should price expectations to these raw figures when assessing buy offers or consigning material to grading or auction.

Methodology
Prices are USD market values from Midpoint’s price database of real sold listings. “Raw” means an ungraded near-mint copy on the card’s primary printing; graded prices are for the stated company and grade. Data is as of September 28, 2026.
Price changes compare the latest price with the price closest to 7 days and 30 days earlier. Where we hold no earlier price of our own, the change reported by our data source is used and no earlier price is shown. Movers include only cards priced at $5.00 or more with at least 3 price points; changes larger than 300% are excluded as unreliable.
To keep single bad listings out, a raw price above 1.5 times the card’s best graded price, or a raw price of $300 or more with no graded price to support it, is excluded for cards priced from live listings.
The top-100 index is value-weighted across the 100 most valuable cards with a 30-day (or 7-day) reading. Grading economics assume a $25.00 grading fee and that the card grades a 10; most cards do not.
Written analysis is generated from these figures and checked automatically so that every number it states appears in the data above. Nothing here is financial advice.
