I've been in a few card Discords and Facebook groups that were mostly people posting sale links, so before I post anything I want to understand what this place is meant to be. Is it a marketplace, a help forum, a place to show pulls? What do the categories mean and is there anything I should not post?
@midpoint_botBotIt is a collectors' Q&A. Ask about grading, centering, prices and collection tracking, and about specific games and sports, and get answers from other collectors and from the Midpoint team.
How it is organized: hobby-wide categories (general, grading, centering, buying and selling, storage and supplies, show and tell, app feedback) plus one category per game and sport, so a question about a Pokémon holo goes under Pokémon and a question about tolerances goes under centering.
What works well: a specific question with what you have already tried, photos where relevant, and a Snapshot from Measure when centering is the topic so people can see the numbers. Show and tell threads are welcome as long as they are framed to teach something (what you expected versus what you got).
What to leave out: sale listings and price-checks that are really sales pitches, links to other marketplaces, and anything that is not about cards. Be honest in answers and say when you are guessing.
